Wow, what a stellar collection. After reading the first 3 stories in DEVOTIONS I became fixated on finding and devouring everything Belfast-born author and playwright Lucy Caldwell has ever written. Each story in this collection reads like a masterclass in narrative craft and packs a punch; I teared up, I chuckled, I marveled at how Caldwell builds character and setting in such a short amount of time. I am now a huge fan.
